Best Collab Ever
[ Illustration]
My friend Shazzbaa and I have outdone ourselves. We have created a fantasy illustration masterpiece out of an impromptu collaboration, and in all honesty and seriousness, I don't know if we will ever be able to top this piece ever again. Prepare your eyes for the magnificent glory that is...

Mada Sketch Dump
[ Art Dump]
Happy Halloween! Other than the cereal box from last time, I don't really have any Halloween-themed art to show this year. However, Mada has been popping up in my sketchbook A LOT this week, and she's kinda creepy. > >;;

My friend Actoratheart and I have been crack shipping older!Mada with her war vet OC, Mike. They're both Death Mages with issues and really horrible senses of humor, and together their names make M&M. How could we not?

RO: Bittersweet.
[ Work in Progress, Illustration]
lucer-skull.jpg
Drew this last night as a quick stress relief, originally with a pretty detailed city background that I got too lazy to finish (please also ignore the super awkward hands). I ended up kind of liking the atmosphere so I might work it a bit more to make it more refined.

My high priest, Lucer, reminiscing about the past. I choose a monster drop ingame to represent each of my characters so I kinda want to make this a series.

Cereal Killer + EDIT
[ Work in Progress, Illustration]
Something rather different from my usual style, also done for my Fantasy Illustration class. This week's assignment was to do something inspired by the Cereal Killers Artbook - a collection of cereal box covers with spooky twists. After I picked the title of the cereal I wanted to parody, Mada found her way into the illustration.

I tried to stick with a limited color scheme and graphic look. Done entirely in Photoshop. This isn't due until this Monday, so I'm eager to hear suggestions before I take it to critique!

[EDIT] Didn't mess with it TOO much (long day was long) but I tried a few different things. When it it comes to design, it's really amazing what adding or subtracting or moving one little element will do to an overall image. I think the revised one has more breathing room, but I'm wondering if it's too much? Cereal boxes can be pretty cluttered, so having more blank space worries me. I like the font and spelling changes on the catch-phrase a lot more now, (hoping it gets the joke across better) and I'm happy with the orange explosion coming forward over the bowl instead of hiding behind it. I tried to fix the blurry dirt on the shovel, but the layer was already flattened so fffffffml - I'll rebuilt it if I have to, but I'm actually kinda partial to the fuzzy dirt. Idk.

Ragnarok: Halloween!
[ Illustration]
I did this quickly last night (and fell asleep before I finished my lab report LOL which I'm furiously writing right now) for the Ragnarok Online Halloween loading screen submission contest. Featuring Runik, my hunter-almost-sniper; Karynn, my priestess; and Navi, Pyo's wiz that he just 99'd by cheating. : ) Start to finish in 4~5 hours, hence really shitty background and flat colors.

Ugh these colors look really awful on this school computer monitor, groossss. Note to self: adjust color balance when I get home.

Otherwise, I'm happy with the use of spot blacks though I totally didn't plan the composition well enough ahead of time, because that priestess has her spot blacks in the wrong direction with regards to the shitty moonlit light source.
